History of Sports
Sports Physical Therapy & Rehab Specialists (SPTRS) was established in April 1992 as one outpatient clinic in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The company has grown to include 16 clinics in 6 counties throughout Northeast Illinois and Southeast Wisconsin. Today, we are home to specialists in balance and dizziness, women’s health, lymphedema, certified hand therapy, physical therapy for incontinence, and more. All SPTRS physical and occupational therapists are licensed, board certified, and Medicare approved. Our physical and occupational therapists are continually studying advancements in treatment to expand their clinical evidence-based expertise.
SPTRS is proud to offer an extensive industrial rehab program. In working with OccuCare Systems & Solutions we provide patients and referring doctors with the industry’s newest and most useful return-to-work functional evaluations and work hardening/conditioning programs. With this, our goal is to return every patient to work as quickly as possible with the least amount of re-injury risk.
SPTRS therapists work together—with patients and their doctors—to create a customized plan of care for each patient. We believe consistent communication, through timely updates and progress notes, is key to earning trust and building lasting relationships with patients, doctors, caseworkers, managers, and insurance companies. Restoring human performance is our most important goal. It is our belief that keeping everyone well informed throughout the rehab process instills confidence and assures positive outcomes.
