Occupational Therapy - Arthritis
We treat both rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, to help make life easier for those who suffer from these ailments. Our occupational therapists teach patients to do their normal daily activities a little differently, to decrease inflammation, and to do exercises that can help strengthen muscles, to prevent permanent damage/deformities. Patients learn an energy conservation program that prevents prolonged, repetitive stress on affected joints, which helps reduce pain.
