Occupational Therapy - Burns/Wounds
If burns or wounds are not healing properly, occupational therapy can be a big help. Whirlpool therapy is used to thoroughly cleanse the affected area. Splints can be made to safely position a joint between periods of exercise and during sleep. Manual therapy is helpful to reduce the appearance of scaring or scar tissue build up. If needed, exercises and stretches that promote full range of motion and normal function are used.
