Carpal/Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Occupational Therapy - Carpal/Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Both carpal and cubital tunnel syndromes are treated similarly. If surgery is needed, occupational therapy services can help in recovery. If surgery is not needed, our occupational therapists can make hand splints to help protect the affected area, use manual therapy and modalities (eg, ice, ultrasound) to help reduce pain and discomfort, and train patients about exercises, proper body mechanics, and changes that can be made to work stations to relieve symptoms.
