Occupational Therapy - Certified Hand Therapy
A number of diagnoses, including fractures, dislocations, crush injuries, tendon lacerations, burns, or arthritis may require the services of a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). CHTs specialize in adaptive/assistive devices, custom splinting, edema management, exercise programs to increase motion, dexterity and strength, education about adaptations, ergonomics at home and in work environments, management of acute or chronic pain, sensory reeducation, scar management, and wound care.
