Occupational Therapy - Fractures
Fractures can be treated by casting/splinting, plates and screws, or screws and rods. Occupational Therapy services are recommended before the fracture is healed when a patient is experiencing side effects from treatment, such as swelling or stiffness. Our therapists can educate patients about exercises to increase motion and strength. Manual techniques also help increase motion, and additional therapy can be used to decrease swelling and pain.
