Physical Therapy - Ototoxicity
Some medications damage hair cells in the inner ear, which can affect the normal balance function. Hair cells cannot be regrown once destroyed, but therapy can teach the patient to compensate for decreased inner ear function. Fortunately, total destruction of bilateral inner ear function is very rare.
